Research theme

A forensic autopsy is a series of tests and examinations performed on the body to identify the injuries and diseases, determining the cause of death. We often meet autopsy cases who take alcohol, abused substances, or psychiatric drugs. Our main research theme is to clarify the effect of alcohol and drugs on the cell signaling and protein interaction. We are also investigating various tools, such as bio-markars of sudden cardiac death and “Autopsy imaging (postmortem imaging)”, to establish the accurate diagnosis of cause of death.
