- Search for the Functions of Glyco-linkages in Natural Glycosides by using Trans-glycosylation.
We have developed the trans-glycosylation of bioactive glyco-linkages from natural glycosides to some aglycones. This method is useful in the direct conversion of an oligosaccharide moiety to various aglycones when constructing an oligosaccharide-based library.
- A search study of the natural drug which is effective for the prevention / improvement of a metabolic syndrome -related disease.
We have aimed for a search of a natural drug to prevent and improve metabolic syndrome by using the nature compound library and derivatives from natural products provided from various plants accumulated in our laboratory till now. Our research was focused on the study about screening and action mechanism of natural compounds restraining 1) enlargement of a fat cell, 2) macrophage-derived foam cell formation, 3) generation of AGEs.
