While the population continues to age rapidly, medicine gets more advanced and more complex, and diseases become more varied, this course aims to promote individual health and recovery from illness, establishment of an environment that allows people with illnesses to live in their community, and provide nursing support depending on health condition. The course is involved in physical research and development of physical assessments and treatment/care methods to solve a variety of health-related issues for people with ailments common in adults, such as cancer and chronic diseases, and for elderly people, people with acute stage illness, and their families.
This course contributes to local nursing activities by being involved in the training of advanced nurse practitioners who provide nursing with expert knowledge and reliable techniques, i.e., Certified Nurse Specialists (CNSs) in psychiatric and ontological nursing, for people suffering with complications or who have difficulty caring for themselves.
