This program provides scholarships aimed at recruiting excellent students and enabling academic research activities. The scholarships are offered to students in the doctoral course (partial exclusions may apply) and are offered to students who have demonstrated excellent results on the entrance examination, in academic performance, or in research activities.
1.Target of the scholarship
All students in the doctoral course of the Graduate School of Medical Sciences
However, the following students are excluded;
・International students who receive financial support from the Japanese government
(government-sponsored foreign students)
Regarding combined grant conditions of this program (KDS) with other grants: please refer to the attached
sheet “List of combined grants.”(※Note 1)

Students are not able to apply for both this program (KDS) and a research assistant (RA) position of the doctoral course scholarship program (KWS). However, students who are not accepted by this program (KDS) are allowed to apply for the doctoral courses scholarship program (KWS), submission deadline is no later than Friday, June 5, 2023.
2.Amount of the grant
The amount is equivalent to the annual tuition fee (JPY 535,800).
※Students who will complete their doctoral courses in September:
The amount is equivalent to half the amount of annual tuition fee. (JPY 267,900).
3.Required materials (only for the doctoral course of medical sciences): Only printed documents will be accepted. (Besides printed ①Application form, you need to send your ①Application form by e-mail.)

2)Students who intend to apply are asked to confirm their eligibility for application, prepare all necessary documents, obtain a recommendation from their advisor and submit all the required documents.
