On February 12, 2026, the 135th IRCMS Seminar, organized by Associate Professor Yuichiro Arima of our department, was held. As speakers, the event welcomed Dr. Yasuyuki Hanada from the Department of Vascular Dynamics and Biochemistry, Faculty of Medicine, University of Miyazaki; Dr. Takuo Emoto from the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Kobe University Graduate School of Medicine; and Dr. Yukiteru Nakayama from the Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Medical Science.
The seminar was moderated by Dr. Arima. The first speaker, Dr. Hanada, delivered a lecture titled “Understanding Angiogenesis through Biomechanics.” He was followed by Dr. Emoto, who presented “Single-Cell Research Clarifies the Mechanisms of Vascular Diseases.” Finally, Dr. Nakayama gave a talk on “Heart Failure Reprograms the Bone Marrow Niche to Create Central Innate Immune Memory.”
For all participants, the seminar provided a valuable opportunity to learn about their unique and cutting-edge research.
