Associate Professor Yuichiro Arima from our laboratory visited Siriraj Hospital at Mahidol University in Thailand from January 29 to 31, 2026, to participate as one of the presenters in the Double Degree Program (DDP) 2025. This symposium has been held continuously following the establishment of the Double Degree Program between Kumamoto University and several universities in Thailand, including Mahidol University, Chiang Mai University, and Khon Kaen University.

On January 29 and 30, presenters from both Kumamoto University and universities in Thailand and Korea delivered lectures throughout the day. On the first day, in the session “Academic Presentation III,” he gave an oral presentation titled “Ketone body metabolism and cardiovascular diseases.”

The symposium provided a valuable opportunity to deepen academic exchange among researchers from the participating institutions. Additionally, a report on the symposium has been posted on the website of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, so please take a look here as well.
