医用放射線科学講座の研究は、１）医学物理学、２）核医学、３）放射線技術学 の３つコースに大別される。
１）医学物理学コースでは、放射線診断および治療分野における放射線計測ならびに放射線治療に関する理論および技術開発を行っている。
２）核医学コースでは、様々な機能障害に対する診断ならびに治療の技術開発を行っている。
３）放射線技術学コースでは、画質を損なうことなくＸ線量を最適化することを目指して、画像再構成技術や画像処理技術の開発を行っている。

Department of Medical Radiation Sciences consists of mainly following graduate courses 1) Medical Physics, 2) Nuclear Medicine, and 3) Radiation Technology. 1) Medical Physics is developing the principles and techniques of radiation dosimetry and radiotherapy. 2) Nuclear Medicine is developing diagnostic and therapeutic techniques for various functional disorders. 3) Radiation Technology is developing image reconstruction and image processing techniques to optimize X-ray dose with keeping image quality.
