研究テーマ
【研究プロジェクト名および概要】
当講座では、独創的で臨床に役立つ研究をモットーとして、基礎と臨床の融合を重要視している。臨床面では、消化器疾患の予防・診断・治療に全力で取り組み、肝がん、食道がん、膵がんなど多様な消化器がんをはじめ、ウイルス性肝炎や生活習慣病による肝障害、炎症性腸疾患（IBD）など、幅広い疾患に高度な医療体制で対応してる。また最新の内視鏡検査を駆使し、早期発見・早期治療を心がけている。
研究面では、基盤研究やオミクス研究、トランスレーショナルリサーチの実践に力を入れ、新規ディバイスを用いたエクソソーム(miRNA)研究や、AIを活用した軟口蓋の解析など、独創的な研究を推進している。また、がんゲノム医療の発展に伴い、消化器がんの個別化治療の実現に向けた取り組みも進めている。加えて、現在AMED（日本医療研究開発機構）研究班の代表として全国多施設共同研究を展開している。B型肝炎の創薬研究にも注力しており、企業との連携や医師主導の臨床治験を通じて、新たな治療法の開発を目指す。
当講座では、最先端の研究成果を患者さんに還元することを目標とし、患者さん一人ひとりに最適な医療を提供できるよう、日々研鑽を重ねている。
Our department emphasizes the fusion of basic and clinical research with the motto of original and clinically useful research. We are committed to prevention, diagnosis and treatment, and provide advanced medical care for a wide range of diseases, including liver cancer, esophageal cancer, pancreatic cancer, viral hepatitis, lifestyle-related liver disease, and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). We also make full use of the latest endoscopic procedures to ensure early detection and treatment.
In terms of research, we focus on basic research, omics research and translational research, and promote original research such as exosome (miRNA) research using novel devices and soft palate analysis using AI. It is also working to realize personalized treatment for gastrointestinal cancers through the development of cancer genomic medicine. In addition, as a representative of the AMED (Japan Medical Research and Development Organization) research group, we are currently developing a nationwide multi-center collaborative research program and is also focusing on drug discovery research for hepatitis B, aiming to develop new treatment methods through collaboration with companies and physician-led clinical trials.
The department is striving to bring the results of cutting-edge research back to patients and is constantly working toward provide optimal medical care for each individual patient.
