Anesthesiology is the scientific field that sought for the technique of pain relief during the surgery. Main theme of our department is pain. In clinical field, our main theme is the development of new cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for the treatment of chronic pain. In the basic science, we are studying analgesic mechanisms of acetaminophen and mirogabalin, an  ligand, using rat formalin model. Although either acetaminophen or an  ligand is a first line drug for the treatment of acute and chronic pain, the precise mechanisms of action was not clearly understood.
